Alexander Technique teacher James describes his work.
You can come for sessions of Alexander Technique in Manchester, Wilmslow and Stockport.
It’s a great job. People come to me for help with their back pain, neck pain and posture pain, and confidence and anxiety issues.
I’d say 19 out of every 20 people enjoy their first lesson and keep coming, which is great. Because not everyone has heard of the Alexander Technique, I make it easier for people in Manchester and the surrounding areas to try it out because I always guarantee my work. I know how important it is to spend our pennies wisely these days!
The Alexander Technique has turned out to be a great vocation for me. There are no exercises (which is great, because I’m inherently lazy). It can be applied all day every day. So it’s not something tough like going to the gym. And you don’t have to keep going to osteopaths. Or chiropractors. Or physios. Because you learn to look after yourself. Hooray!
The best way to learn the Alexander Technique is to come for one-to-one sessions. I have classes in Manchester, Wilmslow and Stockport, so if you live in any of those areas I’m easy to get to. Many of my patients come from Poynton, Hazel Grove, Bramhall, Heaton Moor and Heaton Mersey, Cheadle and Cheadle Hulme. Some come from Reddish, Fallowfield, Didsbury and Chorlton too.
My six-step-plan is the favourite way to learn, and most people come for more after that. Why? Because it feels good! You can always buy a set of 12, or even 24, but I recommend starting with a single Alexander Technique session to see how you get on, and take it from there!
